For email subscriptions, MailChimp is excellent. They have a good WP plugin plus their actual service is very good (Disclaimer, I don’t work for them).

Ozh Tweet Archiver may work for you. It creates a post out of each tweet.

So my WordPress just posted a bunch of old posts out to Twitter after I updated my WordPress to Twitter plugin. Meaning, this post was back from 2010! Oops… Sorry, but thanks for the info. I’ll check it out.
