Black Swan Pharmaceuticals develops gene targeting therapeutics for neurological disorders, specifically ALS and Parkinson’s. Glyphic has rebranded Black Swan with a more modern and functional design.
Our competitive analysis found a market of lookalikes. Most of Black Swan’s competition opted to use lots of colors in their branding. It’s a common mistake, often resulting in a well meaning company unfortunately hiding in plain sight. We found that Black Swan could easily stand out from these companies as a modern brand.
Glyphic rebranded Black Swan on the concept of elemental construction and the “simplicity” of RNA’s constituent parts. The letters of the wordmark are created from ten basic shapes and much like RNA, the logo communicates beyond its simple shapes. The design uses four sets of colors, each with with their own two-tone approach to be used one at a time.
