Oliver Tomas has posted some nice mid-century visual inspiration with his Penguin Book Covers Flickr Collection.
“Created by Typographer and Designer RD Granados in April 2009, TypArchive is an image collection focused on hand painted lettering. The goal was to build a site where others in the design community could contribute and use as a source of inspiration for new typeface designs.”
